About Chester Friends

We’re a friendly group for anyone living or working in Chester who’d like to meet new people and enjoy a variety of social activities. Whether you’ve just moved to the area or simply want to get out more, our group offers a great way to make new friends.

Aimed at over 45+, but open to everyone!

Please note there’s a small one off joining fee of £2 payable when requesting to join. This is to cover the site fees. There are no other ongoing fees.

By joining this group, you agree to the following terms:

Profile Requirements

All members must display their full name (first name and surname or initial) and upload a clear profile photo.

Attendance Policy

Members who fail to attend three events they had RSVP’d to (i.e., “no-shows”) may have their membership revoked.

Membership may also be cancelled due to inactivity if a member does not attend any events for over 12 months.

Event Restrictions

Events that involve personal financial gain, product promotions, or sales are strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct

The organisers reserve the right to remove and ban any member at their discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, cases of inappropriate behavior, safeguarding concerns, or any conduct deemed harmful to the wellbeing of the group.

Assumption of Risk & Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that participation in group activities, including strength, flexibility, and aerobic exercises (with or without equipment), carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury or death.

I voluntarily choose to participate in these activities and use any related equipment or facilities, accepting full responsibility for any resulting injuries or damages.

I confirm that I am physically fit and free from any condition, illness, or impairment that would prevent me from safely participating in any events I RSVP to.

I either have received medical clearance from my doctor to take part in these activities or have decided to participate without such approval, accepting all associated risks.

Personal Belongings

The organisers are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought to events. I agree that I bring any belongings at my own risk.
