I have only led this walk once in 2023 and it was remarkably good underfoot. There may be a few muddy parts and puddles to avoid if we get lots of rain in the next few weeks but nothing serious so if the weather is kind until then, it should be a glorious time but please wear some waterproof boots as it will make it easier, safer and quicker to get round.
It is a circular walk of just under 6 miles with lots of undulations, one 10 minute or so climb which is long rather than steep and one steep descent.
We will cross the river Wey almost immediately and then begin the climb to the North Downs Way with lovely views and after it flattens out for a while we have the inconvenient climb and a reach a ridge, with again lovely views and followed by the descent on a residential path to reach the castle and back along the river.
NO DOGS AND £4 PLEASE.
You can call me on 07395 004461 if you are late or lost and it is very easy to catch up even if you are 15 minutes late as you can park and join us part way round, so keep in touch.
I hope to see some of you there.
